To access FileFlex, the user account needs to be created in the system. The below section provides the types of users and capabilities of each user type. FileFlex pricing is per user model and you can refer below to plan your number of seats.
Licensed user
A user who has been granted roles and privileges other than visitor user permission must have a license to use FileFlex. A licensed user can access the content repositories, create shares and access activities related to their own files. Depending upon the organization's policy, a licensed user can connect to their own content sources or can be assigned by the administrator. A typical user example would include a Sales team employee who wants to access their data while on the move.
Visitor User - No license needed
A licensed user may share their file(s) with external or internal users who may not have a FileFlex license. Such users are given the permission of visitors. They are not counted against the paid seats and thus incur no extra payment. A visitor is limited to access to content that has been shared by any licensed user. They can't create connections to content sources or assigned content sources by the admin. A typical user example would be a vendor with whom an employee shares a file for review/editing or shares a data room where the vendor can upload their deliverables securely.
Admin User - No license needed
An admin user account is typically created to monitor and enable user account creation. An admin is also responsible for creating content repositories and assigning them to relevant users and groups. For security purposes, they are not allowed to read or download the content. They are restricted to admin functions related to user management, content repositories management and monitoring user traffic and activities. They are not counted against the paid seats and thus incur no extra cost.
Demo seats - Free license
If you are a reseller, then based on your sales agreement, you may qualify for free demo seats, which can be utilized for demonstrating FileFlex to existing or potential customers. They are equivalent to licensed users but are not counted against paid seats. They are, however, restricted only for demo purposes and shouldn't be used for actual day-to-day usage.
