The FileFflex client allows you to view, download and edit your files ( subject to file permission).
You can perform any file operation as if files are present on your local windows machine.
You can double-click any file to open in your linked application and view/edit files.
If your admin has granted access to a content source where you have only view-only permission, then you can view these files only in FileFlex previewer.
This is also applicable if someone has shared a file with you with view-only permission.
Such files have a special file extension ( fsi-vo)
Double-clicking these files will automatically launch FileFlex viewer and you can preview these files.
You are working on a content source that is assigned by the admin to you and is also accessed by other users in your team.
Before you start to edit such files, you may want to create a lock on the file, so that file can not be edited by other users during the time you are editing the file.
A locked file shows a warning if any other users try to edit it.
You can create such a lock by following the below steps
You can now safely start editing files as other users can't edit such files unless the lock is explicitly removed by yourself.
